Head coach Ben Jacobson was named Missouri Valley Coach of the Year. Jacobson has done tremendous job coaching the Panthers this season. UNI has seen dramatic improvement since last season's 16-15 campaign. This season Jacobson's team set a school record with 16 consecutive wins and finished the season 27-3, 2nd place in the MVC and are currently ranked 11th in the nation.
Seth Tuttle was named the 2015 MVC player of the year. The 6-8 forward lead the Missouri Valley conference in both scoring and rebounding while averaging 16.6 points and 6.6 rebounds per game this season. Tuttle has been the conferences biggest offensive threat and has been getting it done from both the three point line (shooting 44%) and down low in the paint.
Wes Washpun was recognized as the Missouri Valley Conference sixth man of the year. Washpun provided a huge spark of the bench at the guard position all season with his quick play and natural aestheticism. Despite coming off the bench Washpun was the Panther's second leading scorer averaging 8.2 points per game.
Nate Buss was named MVC Scholar Athlete of the Year. The the MVC Scholar Athlete of the year award is given to a an athlete who shows excellent performance in both the classroom and on the court. Buss has averaged 6.6 point per a game off the bench this season. He has been very effective shooting the deep ball this season, sinking 31 3-pointers while shooting 38.8 behind from behind the arc.
